Dear writers, almost-writers, used-to-be writers, and wish-I-was-a writers,

I’m exploring the possibility of creating a monthly literary arts series in Chattanooga featuring writing and publishing workshops, author talks, readings, and other events for those who love writing or are simply writing-curious.

Whether you’ve never written a page or have published multiple books, I’d love your input. Before building this program, I want to make sure it reflects what Chattanooga’s writing community actually wants.

I’m Dana Shavin, an award-winning columnist for the Chattanooga Times Free Press, author, and freelance journalist. I am the Literary Arts Program Coordinator for the Dalton Creative Arts Guild and am exploring the possibility of creating similar literary arts opportunities in Chattanooga.
